"Do you receive a compliment the same way you receive money? Do you give sexually the same way you give financially?"
Giving & Receiving: A Consensual Flow of Sex and Money
-with Leo of Queer & Trans Wealth and Sunnie of Queer Care Connections|Psilocythem
What if your relationship with money and your relationship with intimacy are telling the same story?
Many of us learned to overgive before we learned how to receive. We learned to prioritize others' needs, silence our desires, tolerate discomfort, and measure our worth through what we provide. These patterns often show up in our finances, our relationships, our erotic lives, and our capacity to experience pleasure, reciprocity, and abundance.
Giving & Receiving is a two-part experiential workshop exploring the surprising parallels between financial exchange and erotic exchange. Together, we will investigate how trauma, culture, religion, gender, and systemic oppression shape our ability to ask for what we need, receive what is offered, establish boundaries, and participate in relationships rooted in mutuality rather than obligation.
Through conversation, reflection, embodied practice, and community learning, participants will deepen their understanding of consent, reciprocity, desire, and nervous system regulation across both sex and money.
In This Workshop You Will:
• Cultivate greater dignity, safety, agency, and belonging in your erotic and financial relationships
• Explore the emotional and nervous system parallels between sexual giving and receiving and financial giving and receiving
• Reignite healing through imagination, fantasy, play, curiosity, and embodied practice
• Identify and untangle internalized messages about gender, sexuality, religion, worthiness, scarcity, and deservingness
• Strengthen trust with your body and learn to recognize your nervous system's wisdom
• Understand how trauma responses can emerge during moments of intimacy, vulnerability, generosity, receiving, and resource exchange
• Develop tools for caring for yourself when activated, overwhelmed, shut down, or triggered
• Learn to work with glimmers, triggers, arousal, avoidance, and other forms of body communication
• Discover what helps your body move toward openness, connection, consent, and pleasure, and what invites contraction, protection, or disconnection
• Deepen your understanding of religious and spiritual trauma and its impact on intimacy, embodiment, and financial wellbeing
• Explore how PTSD and CPTSD influence desire, pleasure, boundaries, reciprocity, and relationships with money
This Workshop May Be For You If...
• You find yourself overgiving emotionally, sexually, relationally, or financially
• You struggle to receive care, pleasure, money, support, reciprocity, gifts, or affirmation
• You experience shame, anxiety, freeze responses, numbness, or guilt around intimacy or financial conversations
• You notice fear, scarcity, or self-doubt when pursuing a creative project, business venture, or new sexual experience
• You are healing from religious trauma, purity culture, family conditioning, or relational harm
• You want to deepen your capacity for embodied consent, communication, financial equity, and nervous system awareness
• You have access to financial abundance or inherited wealth and are seeking more intentional, values-aligned ways to redistribute resources
• You long for more sustainable, liberatory, and connected relationships with sex, money, pleasure, and self-worth
• You are curious about giving and receiving as an erotic, relational, and community practice
Our Invitation
This space centers queer, trans, neurodivergent, trauma-informed, and body-honoring approaches to healing.
We believe consent is more than a boundary practice. It is an ecosystem. A living conversation between desire and responsibility, pleasure and dignity, autonomy and connection.
Together, we will explore what becomes possible when giving and receiving are no longer acts of obligation or survival, but practices of presence, reciprocity, and collective care.

What folx are saying
About Sex Care Experiencing
“The sex care cohort unpacked the deep shame and disconnect I had to my body. This cohort helped me to recognize what it means to experience true pleasure.
If you're thinking of joining this cohort please know that you will be very cared for, considered, and held in this space. Receiving sex care with a group of people felt like the perfect container I needed to dive a tad deeper and create new neural pathways. This is a space of solidarity. ”
— Brooke
“The container that Sunnie holds and encourages participants to co-hold allows room for play, honesty, grief and self-realization.
This course provided me with the support and space to grieve the ways that my sexuality and gender have been weaponized and condemned by the former religious communities I was a part of. This course has been a foundational part of my healing process and has allowed me to tap more deeply into my sense of agency and bodily autonomy. .”

Sunnie (They/Them)
A word from Sunnie about the Sex Care Cohorts:
“ These cohorts are spaces to help folx understand how to work with their triggers around sex and the negative stories and experiences they have carried in their bodies. I have spent the last 15 years of my life doing the work to be able to provide experiential alternative queer and trans sex care. These cohorts are so special to me because each group flourishes in new ways and invites possibility for desire that didn’t exist before. The Queer Sex Care Cohorts are where the queer magic happens. Queer Social Therapy is alternative care and unknown harm by accepting desire, exploring fantasy, and enjoying embodiment. I really hope you join us.” -Sunnie
