with Leo and Sunnie!”

Join the waiting list for this live virtual training

August 2nd , 5-7pm PST Live Virtual Zoom Session

September 13th 4-7pm Live in person in LA

In this two-part experience, participants will explore:

  • The parallels between financial reciprocity and physical intimacy, including how trauma shapes our capacity to ask, receive, soften, trust, spend, touch, rest, and desire

  • How people often conflate “giving” with doing labor and “receiving” with passivity, indebtedness, or loss of control

  • The four quadrants of consensual giving and receiving:

    • Giving for others

    • Giving for yourself

    • Receiving for others

    • Receiving for yourself
and how these dynamics emerge in both erotic and financial relationships

  • The shadow sides of giving and receiving, including overgiving, people pleasing, love bombing, transactional care, martyrdom, freeloading, scarcity panic, and covert obligation

  • How receiving touch, pleasure, care, money, gifts, support, or attention can feel unexpectedly vulnerable for trauma survivors

  • Rebuilding embodied consent practices around:

    • asking

    • offering

    • negotiating

    • declining

    • changing your mind

    • and noticing authentic desire rather than conditioned compliance

  • Understanding glimmers, triggers, shutdown, arousal, avoidance, and nervous system responses as forms of body communication rather than personal failure

  • How PTSD, CPTSD, religious trauma, purity culture, systemic oppression, and relational harm shape erotic expression, financial behavior, and attachment patterns

  • Trauma-attuned consent as an embodied process of co-creating agreements around desires, limits, risks, pleasure, resources, and care

This space is for people who:

  • Long to feel safer in their bodies while navigating intimacy, touch, money, or vulnerability

  • Notice patterns of overgiving sexually, emotionally, relationally, or financially

  • Struggle to receive pleasure, support, rest, generosity, affirmation, or care without guilt

  • Want to cultivate clearer boundaries and more embodied yeses and nos

  • Are healing from religious trauma, purity culture, queer shame, or relational trauma

  • Desire relationships rooted in mutuality rather than extraction, performance, or survival adaptation

This series centers queer, trans, trauma-informed, neurodivergent, and body-honoring approaches to healing and relational practice. We believe consent is not a checklist. It is a living ecosystem of negotiation, imagination, choice, nervous system awareness, accountability, and care.

What folx are saying

About Sex Care Experiencing

“The sex care cohort unpacked the deep shame and disconnect I had to my body. This cohort helped me to recognize what it means to experience true pleasure.

If you're thinking of joining this cohort please know that you will be very cared for, considered, and held in this space. Receiving sex care with a group of people felt like the perfect container I needed to dive a tad deeper and create new neural pathways. This is a space of solidarity. ”

— Brooke

The container that Sunnie holds and encourages participants to co-hold allows room for play, honesty, grief and self-realization.

This course provided me with the support and space to grieve the ways that my sexuality and gender have been weaponized and condemned by the former religious communities I was a part of. This course has been a foundational part of my healing process and has allowed me to tap more deeply into my sense of agency and bodily autonomy. .”

Sunnie (They/Them)

A word from Sunnie about the Sex Care Cohorts:

These cohorts are spaces to help folx understand how to work with their triggers around sex and the negative stories and experiences they have carried in their bodies. I have spent the last 15 years of my life doing the work to be able to provide experiential alternative queer and trans sex care. These cohorts are so special to me because each group flourishes in new ways and invites possibility for desire that didn’t exist before. The Queer Sex Care Cohorts are where the queer magic happens. Queer Social Therapy is alternative care and unknown harm by accepting desire, exploring fantasy, and enjoying embodiment. I really hope you join us.” -Sunnie
